A text message to my good friends:
So we’re on the 14th floor of Brighton and Sussex University Hospital – with a sea view.
A day of tests for George on his stomach. He has Hirschsprung’s disease which basically means he has nerves missing that push poop through his lower intestine.
He’ll have an operation to correct that in a few weeks as its treatable.
Otherwise he’s pretty stable, his heart looks good and he’s OK.
Caz’s parents have been down now and my folks have been visiting and looking after Ben.
All things considered we’re not in bad shape.
Going to go get some food now and even sneak a pint.
Thought you’d appreciate the update.
