Fresh from the senior consultant’s mouth, no biopsy today as there are still signs of infection. A shame, but that’s how it goes in these situations.
George will keep having washouts (an enema basically – we’ve been getting hands on experience) to clear infection and reduce the distension in his tummy.
Some good news is George will start having some 5ml feeds of his mum’s milk every few hours (Caroline has been diligently bottling homemade milk every 3-4 hours since birth – she’s amazing).
Poor little lad has been drip fed for days now, so it’s good we can at least start to get him digesting something normally.
