I won the lottery last night. £25, but a win’s a win. 3 numbers coming up was a 1 in 1133 chance.
George was Born in the caul – meaning he popped out in the amniotic sac. That’s a 1 in 80,000 chance and apparently very lucky.
Being born with Down’s Syndrome is a 1 in 1000 dice throw, even with screenings it turns out.
2 in 100 babies with Down’s Syndrome will have Hirschsprung’s Disease (which doctors are 99% sure he has) so the little fella lucked out there.
I guess my point is that everything is a lottery. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.
Statistically, our brave George is one of a kind.
