We’re home

One day short of a month and we’re home.

It feels like chapter one has finished and now we’re onto the next.

It’s one of the great days but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit it was scary as hell too.

Here’s just two weeks worth of medical supplies we have been given to look after George with.

There will be support from local midwives and outreach teams, but there is a sense now that Caroline and I are on our own.

We’ve not yet had a night looking after him by ourselves!

I think we all got a bit institutionalised in hospital and used to having nurses looking after him overnight.

Still, as I sit in front of the fire with George cuddled up on my lap and knowing we’ll have Ben back with us tomorrow, I could not be happier.

I got my Christmas wish.

We’re home
