Local health authority do it again

Babies with Downs Syndrome are  referred to a community paediatrician who’ll give developmental care as soon as possible.

Early intervention can make all the difference.

Between November and now, a referal letter from where George was born to our local authority has gone missing (we know it got sent).

Because of this oversight (or balls up as I prefer to call it), George has now lost out on nearly four months of specialist care.

We wouldn’t even have known about these paediatric appointments unless Caroline had been on the ball and spoken to other families in our situation.

Once again, our local health authority have fallen predictably short.

I take no pleasure in writing rants.
