George finally met his Croydon community paediatrician today.
It’s happened four months later than it should have, for which we finally discovered we have the Croydon Hospital at Home to thank for failing to refer us.
Anyway, the paediatrician was on the ball and is referring George for physiotherapy (to help develop muscle tone) and for sight and hearing tests. He’ll have regular checkups over the years.
She’ll be his link to any specialist help George may require throughout his childhood – so in the future that may mean speech therapists or whatever is needed.
Her department will also be determining wether or not he’d manage in mainstream education and any assistance that might require – but that’s all a way off.
We’re happy everything is moving forward.
He’s all tired out now…
